Government changes to cut red tape and simplify procurement
Local industry and the Northern Territory Government invite you to attend a briefing on a range of procurement reforms that are being introduced by the Northern Territory Government.
What is changing?Northern Territory Government procurement reforms will make government procurement simpler and more streamlined for business. Stage 1 of these reforms will take effect on 1 July 2014.
Highlights of the reforms will include:
- changes to the procurement tiers
- more flexible tender release and closing times
- amendments to Standard Conditions of Contract
- changes to the role of the Procurement Review Board
- streamlining internal processes to reduce decision making timeframes.
Power and Water Corporation will be introducing its own procurement framework on 1 July 2014 as part of its structural separation process.
