Quarantine controls on exports
Find out about quarantine controls that apply to your exports by searching either the Australian Quarantine and Inspection Service (AQIS) Animal Export Conditions (ANIMEX), or Plant and Plant Products Export Conditions (PHYTO).
Exporting food, live animals, animal products, fish, aquatic products, plants and grains are regulated by AQIS. Seek advice from export facilitation officers and export food inspectors about Australia's export regulations.
Before you export meat, dairy, fish, horticulture, grain, wool, skin or hide products, you need to register as an exporter with the AQIS EXport DOCumentation (EXDOC) system.
What to do...
- Search the AQIS ANIMEX or PHYTO databases to see if your goods fall under special quarantine requirements.
- Visit the EXDOC page to find out more about your registration obligations.
