Franchising | Resolving franchising disputes
The Franchising Code of Conduct (Franchising Code) sets out a clear process for the resolution of disputes between a franchisor and a franchisee.
If you have a dispute with a franchisee and it cannot be resolved, the Office of the Franchising Mediation Adviser (OFMA), formerly the Office of the Mediation Adviser, may be able to help you resolve it outside of court. The OFMA has a specialist panel of mediators across Australia who are trained to mediate franchise disputes. There is a fee once the mediator is appointed.
